Terms of Use

These terms apply when you use CostPilot. If you got the app from the App Store, Apple's standard licence agreement (EULA) applies as well.

1. What CostPilot is

A log for what your car costs: fill-ups and charging, expenses, service reminders, and figures calculated from them. You may use it on your own devices for your own cars.

2. Free and Pro

Logging is free for one car. CostPilot Pro adds more cars, receipt scanning, cloud backup and sync, total cost and forecast views, the yearly PDF report and unlimited reminders. What Pro includes at any time is shown in the app before you buy.

3. Subscription

• Pro is a subscription, monthly or yearly. The price is the one shown in the app from your store, in your currency.
• Payment is charged to your Apple or Google account when you confirm the purchase.
• It renews automatically for the same period at the same price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
• If a free trial is offered to you, you are charged when it ends unless you cancel before that. A trial is available once.
• You manage and cancel the subscription in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. Deleting the app or your CostPilot account does not cancel it.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their rules.
• When a subscription ends, your log stays on your device and the Pro features lock.

4. Your data

What you log is yours. You can export it and delete it at any time. Without cloud backup the log exists only on your phone, so keeping a backup is up to you. See the Privacy Policy for how data is handled.

5. Figures are estimates

Cost per kilometre, consumption, forecasts and reminders are calculated from what you enter and are only as good as that. They are not financial, tax or technical advice, and a reminder does not replace your car's service schedule.

6. Fair use

Do not use the app to break the law, to interfere with the service, or to get at other people's data.

7. Liability

The app is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, lost data, or decisions made on the basis of figures shown in the app. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country you live in.

8. Changes

We may change the app and these terms. If a change matters, the date above changes and the app will point to the new version.
